ALBAWABA -Minister of National Security of Israel Itamar Ben-Gvir and his party members officially submitted their resignation letter on Sunday.

The resignation came on the same day when the Gaza ceasefire deal came into effect on Sunday, Jan. 19, ending more than 15 months of war between Hamas and Israel.

Abu Obeida, spokesperson of Al-Qassam Brigades, confirmed that the military wing of Hamas has decided to release today three female hostages; Romy Gonen, Emily Damari and Doron Shtanbar Khair.

The Israeli army carried out air raids targeting Khan Younis and Nuseirat in the Gaza Strip despite the ceasefire deal which took effect on Sunday 0630GM, Al Jazeera reported.

At least eight people were killed amid continued airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, despite the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.

Israeli military spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari confirmed on Sunday: "The IDF continues to strike within the Gaza area at this time. According to the prime minister's directives, the ceasefire will not come into effect until Hamas fulfils its commitments."

The spokesperson noted that Israel won't be committing to the agreed ceasefire deal with Hamas and will continue to attack targets in Gaza adding that Hamas still hasn't provided a list of hostages to be released.
