Dubai Trade and EDC explain ROSOOM and Dubai-SPX services, respectively
Senior officials from Dubai Trade and the Dubai Export Development Corporation (EDC) addressed a select group of Jafza customers on their new service offerings designed to boost trade and add value to businesses operating in the country.
Mahmood Al Bastaki, Director of Dubai Trade, the innovative online platform of Dubai World, explained the features and specific benefits of the company’s electronic payment gateway, ROSOOM.
Additionally, Eng. Ahmed AlQedrah, Industry Analyst at EDC briefed the clients about the organisation's newly launched Dubai Subcontracting and Partnership eXchange Program (Dubai-SPX) created to facilitate secure industrial sub-contracting relationships to the local companies.
“Jafza is home to a multitude of manufacturing and leading export focused companies capable of subcontracting their services to other industries. The Dubai-SPX is an innovative government initiative designed to forge better relationship between the main contractors in the local, regional and international markets and subcontractors in the UAE, thereby increasing business opportunities for investors, traders and exporters,” Eng. Saed Al Awadi, Chief Executive Officer, EDC, commented on the Dubai-SPX program.
Ibrahim Mohammed Al Janahi, Chief Commercial Officer, Economic Zones World (EZW) UAE Region said: “Jafza works closely with various Government bodies and institutions to create better business opportunities for its clients. Dubai Trade's e-payment services are very popular with Jafza customers in the Free Zone already. Dubai Trade has consistently upgraded and enhanced its services over the years and the ROSOOM gateway allows multiple payment options through the portal, leading to faster and more efficient processing. "
“Recently, EDC has launched the Dubai Subcontracting and Partnership eXchange Program (Dubai-SPX) which we feel will be hugely beneficial to our clients. It is a modern and efficient way to organise industrial production, bridging the gap between main-contractors and sub-contractors. The Dubai-SPX programme will benefit companies working in petrochemicals, water desalination, metal works, plastics and rubber, electrical and electronics, and other industrial sectors. These customer gatherings help us to update our clients and bring new service offerings to their attention, "Al Janahi added.
Jafza periodically hosts customer networking events where key Jafza partners and stakeholders are also often invited as guest speakers. These events serve as informative sessions for clients and also allow officials from Jafza to personally interact and discuss the Free Zone's offerings with customers.
