In line with the “Ahli Cares” initiative, Jordan Ahli Bank, the leading financial institution, signed a cooperation agreement with the World Health Organization to promote and improve the health of the Bank's employees and to provide a healthy work environment for them.
The agreement was signed on behalf of Jordan Ahli Bank by H.E Marwan Awad, CEO and General Manager of Jordan Ahli Bank, and by Dr. Hashim El-Zein El-Mousaad, the World Health Organization Representative and Chief of Mission in Jordan.
“The agreement comes within the framework of the "Ahli Cares" initiative, which was the first pilot project within a series of institutional culture change programs at the Bank.” Awad said.
Awad further added that this agreement is based on specific programs with close follow-ups to assist employees in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, in order to improve levels of physical activity and performance, and in spreading awareness on important health issues.
His Excellency El-Mousaad, on the other hand, stressed the importance of such an agreement in influencing quality of work, employee cognitive behavior and performance through creating a culture of behavioral change by balancing out behaviors that prevent disease with those that promote the health and wellbeing of employees.
