ALBAWABA - The Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Authority announced on Sunday the reopening of Jordanian airspace to air traffic after it was suspended for hours, Al Mamlaka reported on Sunday.
In addition, the head of the Civil Aviation Authority, Haitham Misto, said that Jordanian airspace has been reopened and the airport's operations and flights have returned to normal.
He pointed out that airlines and airports have been informed of this decision, and thus air traffic will return to normal.
Misto stated to Al Mamlaka that the most important thing is "preserving the safety and security of civil aviation in the airspace and at airports, and this is what has been done."
Earlier, Jordan announced the closure of its airspace until 11 a.m. amid the tension following the Iranian attack on Israel. However, Amman reopened its airspace hours before that.
Iraq has also closed its airspace amid tension in the Middle East, and it announced reopening it.
Lebanon's General Directorate of Civil Aviation has also just confirmed reopening the airspace to all aircraft.
Israel also reopened its airspace to the movement of civilian aircraft after a suspension that lasted for several hours due to the Iranian overnight attack.
