Jordan Confirms Two Israeli Soldiers Wounded in Firing from Jordan

Jordanian government has confirmed that shots were fired at an Israeli patrol in the West Bank from Jordan’s side, injuring two soldiers. 

Minister of Information Taleb Rifai’ told Albawaba.com that anonymous persons fired their guns seven kilometers to the south of Prince Mohammad Bridge, which links Jordan and Israel. 

Rifai’ said there were no arrests following the attack. 

“We have no further information on the incident, but investigations are underway,” said the minister. 

A military spokesman told Jordan’s official news agency, Petra that the authorities are still searching for the perpetrators. 

Israeli military sources had told AFP that the two soldiers were on a routine patrol 10 kilometers to the north of Jericho -- (Sveral Sources)
