Jordan hails efforts in ending Russia-Ukraine war

Amman, March 20 (Petra) – The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs welcomed diplomatic efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war, particularly the recent phone call between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, describing it as a significant step toward halting the conflict and bolstering regional and global security.

Ministry spokesperson Sufian Qudah highlighted the importance of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to mediate an end to the war, noting that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is set to host talks between the United States and Russia in Jeddah on Sunday.

Qudah commended Saudi Arabia’s role in facilitating the discussions and reaffirmed Jordan’s support for all initiatives aimed at ending the war and promoting international peace and security.
