Jordanian Foreign Minister Marwan Moasher on Sunday discussed with envoys of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon an international peace blueprint stipulating the creation of a Palestinian state.
Moasher told Petra news agency the talks aimed at "pushing the Israeli government to adopt the 'roadmap' as a general framework for a just and comprehensive solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict, leading to an independent Palestinian state in 2005".
He added the visit by Sharon’s chief of staff Dov Weisglass and aide Shalom Turdjman was part of "Jordanian efforts to have a dialogue with the Israeli government".
The talks between the officials dealt with, "adequate means capable of pushing forward the peace process", the news agency added. (Albawaba.com)
