The Jordanian government held an emergency session Thursday and adopted a series of urgent measures following the Israeli military operations against the Palestinians, officials said.

Details of the measures taken by the government, during a session chaired by Prime Minister Ali Abu Ragheb, were not given.

The government met after Abu Ragheb's return from a trip to Egypt, where he had accompanied King Abdullah II for talks with President Hosni Mubarak, the officials said – AMMAN (AFP)
