Jordanian Minister of Information and Communications Technology visits Info2cell offices in Amman

The Jordanian Minister of Information and Communications Technology, Engineer Omar Ashraf Al Kurdi visited the Amman offices of Infocell.com, the region’s leading wireless information service provider, as part of a nation-wide tour of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) companies operating in Jordan, earlier this week.

Engineer Al Kurdi said: “This visit comes as part of the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology’s focus on enhancing its partnership with the ICT private sector, which is crucial to the industry’s growth and development.  He also expressed his “pride in our workforce that proved key to the remarkable success of Jordanian companies in penetrating regional and international markets”

Earlier welcoming the minister, Bashar Dahabra, Founder and CEO, Info2cell.com said: “We are honoured to host Eng Al Kurdi. This visit shows the government’s commitment to strengthening private sector ICT companies as part of its vision to establish Jordan as the regional ICT leader and an internationally recognised exporter of ICT products and services. Dahabra escorted Eng Al Kurdi around the company premises and acquainted him with the various services Info2cell offers to mobile networks in the Middle East and North Africa region. Dahabra also discussed with the minister, Info2cell’s future prospects and plans for venturing into media production and the creation of channels through emergent media such as Satellite TV, Radio and IP TV.

The ministerial visit ended with Eng Al Kurdi posing for a group photo with heads of the company’s various departments.

Mr. Dahabra was the founder of a number of successful startups in Jordan, Bahrain and the region including Unitech - Jordan, Unisat - Jordan, First Telecommunication Group – Jordan, Magnet- Jordan and Gulf Soft - Bahrain.
