Nando's, the international Afro-Portuguese chain of restaurants and the home of the peri-peri flame grilled chicken, has selected the top 100 pieces of art from their art initiative for Little Grown Ups. The finalists' pieces will be exhibited at the Arabian Centre in Mirdif from Thursday, 1st July till Saturday, 10th July 2010. Nando's is inviting the public to come down and vote for their favourite paintings. Voters can take their voting coupons into the Nando's restaurant at Arabian Centre to receive a special Nando's surprise.
The Nando's Kidz Art Initiative was launched in May and invited children aged 7 to 12 across the emirates to design a poster on the subject – 'Paint today your healthy tomorrow'.
A judging panel - made up of Reshma Govindjee, director of ArtHouse Marina; Katya Trabulsy, renowned contemporary artist; and Hala Barghout a nutritionist from Lively - will select the best three drawings from the 100 finalists. The three winning pictures will be framed and displayed on the Nando's Wall of Fame, with a grand prize of an overnight family stay in Atlantis with unlimited access to Aquaventure.
Launched at the Nando's restaurant located at The Residences, Downtown Burj Khalifa, the art initiative aims to spread the healthy eating and better living message among Little Grown Ups - and big ones too - in the country.

This Menu includes nutritional meal options for children including a Chicken Burger Meal, Chicken Drumsticks Meal and Chicken Strips Meal. All Nando's Kidz meals come with a choice of a small side order, with choices including rice, wedges, chips, or corn on the cob. Unlike kids meal options at other restaurants, each Nando's Kidz meal is served with fresh fruits or vegetables and a juice.
