Juventus Hesitate on Trezeguet Deal

The transfer of Monaco's French international striker David Trezeguet to Serie A giants Juventus has been put on hold according to Italian paper Gazetta dello Sport on Sunday.

The two clubs had reportedly agreed a deal in the region of $21.5 million but Trezeguet's demands have caused the Italian club to hesitate.

Trezeguet has supposedly demanded guarantees on the team's strategic plans, which may be complicated by the abundant supply of quality strikers at the Italian runners-up.

Italians Alessandro Del Pierro, Filippo Inzaghi and Yugoslav Darko Kovacevic are already established Juve stars and could make Trezeguet's ambition of first team football a hitch in the deal – (AFP)
