King Abdullah Economic City Hosts US Congress Delegation

Officials from the US Congress recently visited and toured King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) to discuss and explore the city’s investment opportunities. The delegation, headed by Jordan Clark, Glenn Thompson, Benni Ferri, Sylvester Riz, high-ranking chiefs and officials from the US Congress, was accompanied by Fahd bin Abdulrahman bin Shalhob, Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Ajlan and Salem bin Hamdan Al Hamdan from Al Shoura Council. Also, Dr. Saud Mohammed Al Sati and Mohanned Naim Al Shaikh from the US Embassy.

KAEC’s developmental plans along with the on the ground progress in the city accomplished to date was presented by senior executives from Emaar, The Economic City (EEC), master planner and developer of (KAEC) to the visiting delegation.

Emaar E.C., now based in KAEC, had handed over in 2009 a wide range of residential units at Bay La Sun, land plots in the Industrial Valley, offices at the business park as well as a wide variety of retail space through out the city. KAEC is coming to life as a large number of companies and organizations have already started carrying out their daily operations from KAEC, as the first wave of residents are settling down in the city, becoming the core of KAEC's future communities.
