Computer Associates (CA), one of the world’s largest management software companies, today announced its agreement with Kuwait’s Public Warehousing Company (PWC) and will see PWC Logistics roll out CA’s Unicenter infrastructure solutions to improve its enterprise IT management capabilities and maintain its leadership position as the region’s leading total supply chain provider.  The agreement with PWC was made through CA’s Kuwait reseller, Kuwait Danish Computer Company (KDCC).

Additionally, PWC’s newly established IT arm, PWC Technology, will be tasked with the implementation of CA’s Unicenter solutions for the Kuwait customs project.

“CA is pleased to announce its dual partnership with PWC, as it means that CA’s Unicenter enterprise IT management solutions will be rolled out across PWC as well as PWC Technology’s customer, Kuwait Customs Authority,” said Mahmoud El Ali, Gulf countries manager at CA. “PWC is a market leader in supply chain and its decision to build on this partnership is a testament to the business benefits that CA Unicenter offers to any organization.”

CA’s Unicenter platform allows organizations to build complete enterprise IT management capabilities to efficiently integrate infrastructure and systems, and align them with their business process to increase productivity and ROI.

“The CA Unicenter modules offer PWC a total solution when it comes to developing a fully integrated enterprise infrastructure that is easy to manage and can provide PWC with immediate cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency,” said Ghassan Farra, chief information officer at PWC Logistics.  “CA is also providing onsite support which means that our IT personnel will be able to gain first hand knowledge of solutions implementation that will undoubtedly benefit PWC in the future.”

CA sees Kuwait as a key regional market and is planning to establish a direct presence there by the end of this year.  As with all CA customers, PWC will have access to numerous professional services including 24X7 customer support through CA’s support center in Lebanon.

The Unicenter modules comprised in the agreement include Unicenter® ServicePlus Dashboard, Unicenter® Network Systems Management, Unicenter® Management Portal, Unicenter® Management for Microsoft Exchange, Unicenter® Management for Web Servers, Unicenter® Wireless Site Manager, Unicenter® Service Level Management, Unicenter® Asset Management and Unicenter® Database Performance Management.
