New Zealand’s Defense Minister has said he expects an update in the next few days on the bombing disaster in Kuwait which killed a New Zealand soldier and five Americans, reported One News, a New Zealand news website.
Major John McNutt died during a bombing run by an American F-18 warplane, when two bombs accidentally fell on his observer group.
A military team led by the United States has finished its investigation into the accident, said the report, adding that a New Zealand army colonel who worked with the American investigation team has now returned and as yet, there are no details of his findings.
Defense Minister Mark Burton was quoted as saying that he should receive an update on Tuesday on the conduct of the US investigation, as well as the progress made by the New Zealand investigator – Albawaba.com
