Kuwait's cabinet on Sunday submitted its resignation to Emir Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, according to Kuwait television.
The resignation, in line with the emirate's constitution, follows Saturday's 10th legislative elections, which saw a liberal defeat and a win for Islamist, pro-government and independent lawmakers.
The new parliament will hold its inaugural session on July 19. (Albawaba.com)
