In the eight week of Dubai Summer Surprises 2007, BurJuman continues to spread the fun as they host children’s favourite, Cartoon Surprise Week. Between 10th – 15th August, shoppers both young and old will have the wonderful opportunity to interact with their favourite cartoon characters everyday from 4pm to 10pm.
Throughout the week, spectators will be treated to a performance of song and dance, which features the ‘meet and greet with Khristy’ show starring two favourite cartoon characters, Thumper the Rabbit and Humpty Dumpty.
The surprise package can’t be complete without the Cartoon Interactive Workshop, where youngsters will enjoy varying levels of activities such as creating art from scratch and drawing and colouring in their favourite cartoon characters. Those with the best creations will be rewarded with candy and stickers of comic book and fairy tale characters and of course, Modhesh, the DSS mascot.
The Cartoon Exhibition will also work on refreshing everyone’s animation knowledge through a chronological recap of the history of cartoons, such as watching classical Tom & Jerry cartoons and understanding the inspiration behind modern cartoons – all while relaxing on a host of brightly coloured beanbags! The always popular face painting will also be featured, as children can have their favourite cartoon characters painted on.
BurJuman is also participating in the Dubai Shopping Malls Group (DSMG) exciting summer promotion, “Shop and Win Millions,” offering shoppers who spend AED 200 the fantastic opportunity to be a part of the raffle draw and win cash prizes worth AED 500,000 ever week throughout the 10 week extravaganza – a total purse of AED 5 million Dirhams is up for grabs during the promotion.
