Executives from the region’s leading telecom operators today gathered at the Ciragan Kempinski Hotel, Istanbul for the sixth Annual EMC Telecom Summit for Middle East, North-West Africa and Turkey on the 1st – 2nd April. The event is a forum for telecom operators to learn more about EMC’s strategy to support the telecommunications sector and how EMC is helping the sector to address today’s challenges.
The Summit offers participants two major tracks. The first, ‘Driving Efficiency into your Business,’ focuses on how telecommunication organizations can simultaneously manage reduced IT budgets and improve service levels, with a view to maximizing customer satisfaction and retention. Sessions within this track include: ‘Thriving in the Information Economy;’ ‘Optimizing Operational Excellence in Telecom Operators;’ and ‘Security on the Line: Ensuring Security in Tomorrow’s Telecommunications World.’
The second track, titled ‘Value- Added Services: New Ways to Generate Revenues,’ describes services that offer telecom providers ways to identify new revenue opportunities, with sessions that include ‘The Way Forward: New Value Services, New Revenues;’ and ‘Optimizing Content Utilization and Management for New Services and The right $ervices with the right return$ - The Consultative approach’
Bill Teuber, Vice Chairman, EMC Corporation, spoke to executives from leading telecom providers operating in the GCC, Pakistan, Egypt, Lebanon, Africa and Turkey, about EMC’s approach to creating new value for its customers , and how EMC focuses on the rapidly-evolving world of telecom-specific solutions. Teuber also highlighted EMC’s ongoing commitment to the region of Turkey, Middle East and North-West Africa.
