Golfers in the UAE are set have access to some of the world’s best golf tuition.
Claude Harmon III, Director of Instruction, Butch Harmon School of Golf, and his team of Dubai coaches recently returned from a week-long intensive golf training programme at the Butch Harmon School of Golf in Las Vegas in preparation for the opening of the Butch Harmon School of Golf in early 2009 at Dubai Sports City.
In addition to receiving training from Butch Harmon himself, the group also attended an instructor programme at the Titleist performance institute in San Diego, and a 3D systems course in Phoenix. All of which will benefit the students at the Butch Harmon School of Golf in Dubai.
Claude Harmon, Director of Instruction at the Butch Harmon School of Golf, said:
“In today’s day and age, golf is becoming a popular sport for all ages. We want to encourage golf across the Middle East and aim to be the best golf performance center providing the most advanced and beneficial golfing instruction to suit each type of player.
“Whether you are a beginner or a professional, having a good golf instructor is fundamental to improving your game, and with our experienced coaches, we are confident that the Butch Harmon School of Golf will be the one of the top golf performance institutes in the region.”
The Dubai team, headed by Claude Harmon III, included Justin Parsons, Senior Golf Instructor, Butch Harmon School of Golf, and Mario van Zyl, Golf Instructor, The Els Club.
The training given to them across the three major US golfing cities will enable the coaches to provide the region’s golfing enthusiasts with the very best golfing assessments to help improve and perfect their game.
The Butch Harmon School of Golf is situated at The Els Club within Dubai Sports City.
“Our experience visiting the top golfing institutes in the US, and learning from the very best, has enabled us to bring back these philosophies to a growing golfing market in Dubai. A major highlight of the trip was meeting the legendary Butch Harmon who provided us with top-level instructional insight,” said Justin Parsons, Senior Golf Instructor, Butch Harmon School of Golf.
The Butch Harmon School of Golf, which is the first such facility outside the US, will offer a bespoke coaching structure for both professionals and amateurs who are looking to improve their games. Situated at The Els Club in Dubai Sports City, the school will offer a state-of-the-art performance institute, which includes physical screening, three dimensional, and two dimensional video analysis for students.
