Lebanese President Emile Lahoud emphasized Sunday that any Middle East settlement that leaves out Syria and Lebanon will not be comprehensive, as it won’t guarantee regional stability.
Following his talks with visiting Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini, Lahoud said that Lebanon sees it necessary for the Quartet Committee’s sides to prevent Israel from breaking down the International will, the Syrian Arab news agency reported.
On his part, Frattini stressed Italy’s adherence to the peace process, which should include the entire region, the agency said.
Moreover, the Italian Minister said that this peace should be just and comprehensive and should include Syria and Lebanon, the agency added. (Albawaba.com)
