LG Electronics recently hosted, in Amman, the Annual Human Resources Conference which was marked by the participation of delegates from LG offices in the Levant, representing Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq. The one-day conference was also attended by representatives of LG agents and distributors in the region.
LG's HR conference highlighted the importance of human resources management for its major role in strengthening the employees' executive and managerial qualifications, as well as developing their abilities and skills regarding their work in the company's various departments and branches.
Participants in the conference also stressed the need to implement all the required procedures and methods that ensure the optimal use of human resources. And create a one team of Human Resources to achieve one goal.
LG Electronics Middle East & Africa Regional CEO, Mr. K.W. Kim, focused on the importance of HR & Innovation in any organization, as they are the drivers of any organization to excellence. He said: "LG believes that HR is a business partner and that our success depends on our Human resource".
Managing Director of LG Electronics Levant, Mr. Kevin Cha, said "LG is always keen to attract and recruit the qualified human resources that promise a brighter future for the company. Hence, LG applies its own vision to build an integrated professional community that benefit from the solid managerial capabilities, excellent communication skills, and strong willpower of its members. Each year, we invest hugely in the development and management of our human resources, and we train our staff continuously to maximize their practical proficiency, to serve the company's goals and programs on the long run. We, at LG, are confident enough that our policy, in this sense, will bear fruit through more achievements and successes at the regional level."
Manager of Human Resources at LG Electronics Levant, Ms. Elizabeth Ghanim, pointed out that LG Electronics' human resources worldwide are currently engaged in incessant development of procedures and activities, thus, enhancing their role as an active business partner serving one vision, which is part of their unique corporate culture (The LG Way) where they focus on creating value for customers and respecting human dignity.
"This year's conference represented a new beginning for us to develop the true concept of human resources to new levels. We seek to make LG the best people company. It is the vision that we are certain to realize, thanks to the support and assistance of our distributors and agents in Jordan and the region, our regional office in Dubai, as well as the parent company in Korea, who all have demonstrated their great confidence in us during the conference," she added.
CEO of Ithraa Agency, Mr. Sameer Petro made a presentation about the concept of focusing on human relational needs, as it is linked to LG's overall concept in developing its human resources. These basics aim at ensuring a safe, convenient and ideal working environment for the staff, which will positively reflect on their professional performance and productivity, as well as the services provided to clients and customers in general.
Mr. Sameer Petro explained that LG is keen to meet the needs of its employees, by launching care and training programs, along with constant development of their practical skills.
It is worth noting that LG's senior directors pay much attention to the human resources in the company, and to this conference, specifically, for being an annual gathering that brings together executives, employees and experts under one roof. The conference also provides a suitable platform for participants to evaluate and develop standards and specifications that govern recruitment and training procedures.
