Gunman shot and killed a U.S. citizen working at an international school in the Libyan city of Benghazi, medical and security sources said Thursday.
The attackers shot the American man, who was posted at the school in Benghazi, while he exercised on Thursday morning, according to Reuters.
As of Thursday afternoon, no one has claimed responsibility for the shooting.
Violence against foreigners in Libya is not uncommon. In 2012, the U.S. ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens was killed when Islamist militants stormed the consulate in Benghazi.
