Global design group Luxe Interior have invited stars of English Premiership football giants Chelsea to attend the official opening of their first showroom in the Middle East.
Chelsea striker Didier Drogba, the Premiership’s top goal scorer last season, and the club’s England winger Shaun Wright-Phillips, will be in the VIP line-up for the Luxe Interior launch and charity auction event in Dubai on Thursday next week (28 June).
The invitation-only official opening of the design company’s first Middle East showroom at Al Quoz, Dubai will help raise vital funds for the Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs through auctioning exclusive prize items.
These include a trip for two to London to watch the FA Community Shield match between Premiership champions Manchester United and FA Cup winners Chelsea at the new Wembley Stadium on 5th August, signed Chelsea memorabilia, and one of only 200 ever to be available “Fledglings Edition” Manchester United Opuses, personally signed by Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Bobby Charlton, David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Nicky Butt and Phil Neville; valued at AED 30,000 Dhs.
“We’re delighted that Didier Drogba and Shaun-Wright Phillips have agreed to attend the launch event for our new showroom in Dubai,” said David Rees, Luxe Interior Managing Director. “Luxe Interior will work hard to raise much needed funding for Al Noor through our auction tonight, and we’re very grateful that two such high profile footballers are willing to give their well earned holiday time to help with such a worthwhile cause.”
Al Noor is a Centre for Children with Special Needs passionately committed to helping special needs children from their infancy to adulthood, the goal of the centre is to integrate its students into society. Al Noor Training Centre opened its doors in 1981 and has been developing its training programme to ensure that the special needs children it caters to, receive quality and enriching experiences towards a more independent and functional life.

Guests of Arabian Sports Investments in Dubai, Drogba and Wright Phillips, cost Chelsea a combined £45 million (AED315 million) in transfers. Ivory Coast striker Drogba, bought from French club Olympique Marseille in July 2004 for £24 million (AED168 million) repaid much of that fee last season by scoring 33 goals in all competitions to win the Golden Boot and African Footballer of the Year awards.
Wright-Phillips made the high-profile, £21million move from Manchester City to Chelsea in July 2005 and is one of the country's most exciting talents. A big influence down the right, the son of Arsenal legend Ian Wright makes up for a lack of height with a fabulous range of skills and a penchant for scoring spectacular goals. Shaun scored on his England debut against Ukraine in 2004.
