GULF Craft – the Middle East’s biggest yacht-builder – will be showing its Majesty 50 and Majesty 66 yachts at January’s Dusseldorf Boat Show, one of the world’s leading yachting and boating events.
The company has been exhibiting at Dusseldorf since 2000 and is celebrating its 25th anniversary by presenting complete vessels there for the first time.
Getting them to Dusseldorf involves an epic journey from the UAE as deck cargo to Europe and then inland to Germany by rivers and canals.
“This show has been so successful for us in previous years that we felt the time was right to present the genuine article and not just models, videos, and visual material,” said Gulf Craft executive manager Erwin Bamps.
“In the past, prospective customers have made the trip to the UAE to experience our yachts first-hand. Now, they will be able to do that on the spot.”
The Majesty 50 and Majesty 66 epitomise the quality of workmanship and luxury of design and fittings that have become synonymous with Gulf Craft and the Majesty brand that ranges upwards in size options from the entry-level Majesty 44 to the 50, 55, 61, 66, 75, 88, and 118 to the flagship Majesty 130.
Dusseldorf visitors have already taken Gulf Craft to heart and Bamps is confident that having two Majesty yachts for prospective customers to examine will prove a big drawcard.
“In previous years we have generated extensive sales leads that have been converted to firm orders, just from models and visuals. Now that buyers will be able to experience the real thing, I’m sure we will have an even better response,” he said.
GULF Craft’s global profile is becoming increasingly prominent through participation in more and more international boat shows.
After years of being the largest exhibitor at the Dubai International Boat Show – the launch pad for the company’s successful entry to export markets – Gulf Craft began taking part in events further a field.
Regularly participating in boat shows in Dusseldorf, Cannes, Monaco and Beirut has been a constant marketing strategy since years. Since then, Gulf Craft has been highly visible at shows in Australia, New Zealand, Croatia, and Russia.
Gulf Craft Inc, based in Um Al Quwein in the United Arab Emirates, now exports more than 70 per cent of its output and its super-luxury vessels are to be found in virtually every major harbour of the world.
Although Gulf Craft Inc began life building small pleasure craft, it is now a mainstream producer of multi-deck masterpieces where neither expense nor effort are spared in setting the definitive ‘state of the art’ standard for ocean-going luxury.
It is one of only 50 boat-builders supplying the mid-size sector, and one of only a handful capable of producing vessels of 100-ft and over, with an annual production of about 600 vessels up to 130 ft overall length.
Gulf Craft yachts are to be found everywhere in the world – from the glamour harbours of Cannes and Nice to Florida and Fremantle, from Cape Town to Oslo, Morocco to Hong Kong.
Since launching its Majesty Yachts brand in 2004, orders have been pouring in. Its first top-of-the range 130-footer is due for delivery soon and a 145-footer is now on the drawing boards.
