Manal Bint Mohammed Bin Rashed opens the first Child Care Centre at Dubai Customs

Shaikha Manal: “Child Care Centre enables working woman maintain balance between her professional and family life and enhances participation in society building”

In a leading initiative, the first of its kind to implement the National Child Care standards, Shaikha Manal Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, wife of HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs, and President of Dubai Women Establishment (DWE) opened the first Child Care Centre for working mothers’ at Dubai Customs.

The nursery, first of its kinds at Dubai government departments’ level, comes as a real translation of the National Child Care Project launched by Shaikha Manal Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum with the objective of providing nurseries caring for government working mothers` children at Dubai government departments

While touring the nursery and learning about different facilities and classes in place, Shaikha Manal praised the quality of requirements giving credit to the national female staff efficiency in caring for children and providing secured instructional and educational environment for the child.

Shaikha Manal Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum said: “the UAE gave woman a great honor securing her rights fitting with her position and role in the family and society. Woman is a key partner in sustainable development receiving support and recognition from our wise leadership, a consideration made her assuming a high profile position with a prominent role in all local, regional and international events.”

“Establishing nurseries at government departmentsenables and enhances working woman role by reconciling family life and professional needs in an atmosphere of psychological stability, giving impetus towards further bounty in building the society, contributing to local development and strengthening her position internationally beside availability of career opportunities for national women by attending training programmes qualifying them for work at government organizations nurseries,” Shaikha Manal added.

“Customs nursery has been established in accordance with the national standards guide containing all requirements and provisions needed for building a model nursery based on best international environment, health and education practices for perfect child upbringing,” Shaikha Manal explained.

The national nurseries project has been launched in parallel with the Federal Resolution establishing nurseries caring for working women at Ministries, public and government organizations and departments having over 50 working mothers with 20 children whose age up to 4 years old.
