mashreq gold marks second anniversary with Emirati contemporary art exhibition

Mashreq Gold, the premier banking service of Mashreq, showed its support to the local community by hosting an Emirati art exhibition by contemporary artists from The Flying House, concurring with the celebration of its second anniversary.

The exhibition showcased a unique presentation of the history of contemporary art in the Emirates since the 1970’s, displaying the works of renowned local artists Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim, Hassan Sharif and Abdul Rahman Al Ma’aini.

Abdul Raheem Sharif, Founder and CEO of The Flying House said: “We are delighted at the success of our tie-up with Mashreq Gold, as it has given us the platform to promote the local art culture. Not only has it provided visibility to artists by displaying their work in the Mashreq branch, but this exhibition has given them an opportunity to engage with other professionals who share an understanding and love of the art.”

In a bid to strengthen its commitment to support the local art scene, Mashreq Gold tied-up with The Flying House in May last year. This non-profit institution promotes contemporary Emirati artists and houses a collection of work from modern to avant-garde, some of which are displayed at the Mashreq Gold Center in Dubai Internet City.

“Our tie-up with The Flying House is yet another way to give back to the community within which we operate by supporting local talent and offering exposure to artists and their work,” said Omar Asghar, Head of Wealth Management, Mashreq. “This unique collection of art represents the growth of the UAE through the decades, and we look forward to emulating the same success as we continue to add value to our clients and further Mashreq Gold’s proposition in the market.”

Mashreq Gold provides personalized investment solutions taking into account its customers objectives and goals, risk appetite, return volatility, investment horizon and investment experience.

“Our aim is not just to provide financial solutions to customers but to encourage an appreciation of fine art, heritage and culture. Through this exhibition, we have reinforced our promise to customers to provide them inherent value by making available projects that improve the quality of life,” said Asghar.
