The Mayor of Amman Resumes His Visits to the Shelters

The mayor of Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), Eng. Omar Al Maani resumed his visits to the shelters of the orphans and elderly people and the charity associations, providing the residents and officials with donations in kind and packages of the “Tribute to Late King Hussein Campaign” respectively.

Al Maani reiterated, during his visit to the Orphans’ Care Association and Mar Mansour Society, his determination to support the charitable work which is bound to enable the officials do their humanitarian mission which is respected
 and admired by all concerned. He also complimented the education, health and care services provided by these societies to the orphan kids, which contributes to the healthy upbringing of well informed and distinguished generations in all fields.

Al Maani, accompanied with the Mayor’s Advisor for Districts Affairs, Mahmoud Al-Armouti, inspected the two societies, facilities, rooms, nurseries and halls.

The officials of the societies thanked GAM for this kind gesture, and its constant interest in meeting their needs.

The Orphans’ Welfare Association which was established in 1986 embraces about 47 children between 3 to 10 years old boys and between 3 to 15 years old girls, taking care of the medical and educational services during all their residency period.

Al Maani was briefed by the chairman, Mr. Samir Al Ma’asher, on Mar Mansour Association which was founded in 1957, and holding 30 orphan children, providing them with health and education services. He mentioned that the association receives orphan children from ages 3 to 5 years  drawing attention to the fact that they first enroll the kindergarten level, then to the Franciscan Nuns School without any return, from the first grade till the general secondary level, all the way through to the university.

Mayor Omar Al Maani had made similar visits to the white Hands Association Dar Al Diyafa (Guest House for the elderly) where he met the

residents expressing his best wishes and blessings for the holy month of Ramadan.

It is worth mentioning that the “Tribute to Late King Hussein Campaign” was launched by GAM in Ramadan for the third year running under the directions of his Majesty King Abdullah II for the necessity of extending help and care for those in need.
