South African President Thabo Mbeki will travel to Saudi Arabia on Saturday for a three-day visit to “strengthen bilateral relations between two countries," officials told AFP.
Following his visit to the kingdom, Mbeki is due to arrive in Mali for talks with the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, reported the Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA).
"On Tuesday, he will proceed to Mali with Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo for talks with the IMF and the World Bank," sources told the agency.
Mbeki will hold talks with IMF officials on ways of increasing investment and debt relief in his country, said the agency.
The president, meanwhile, will pay an official visit to London in June at the invitation of Queen Elizabeth, said KUNA.
