Syria's Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara on Wednesday received the Minister of Culture at the Palestinian Authority Yahya Yakhlof who handed him a letter to President Bashar al-Assad from the Chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat.
According to SANA, talks during the meeting dealt with the continued "Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, the latest of which was the ugly crime of assassinating Sheikh Ahmad Yassin."
In this regard, al-Shara stressed importance of enhancing the Palestinian national unity as the basic guarantee for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people.
