Middle East’s top telecom operators gather in Dubai

Informa Telecoms & Media is proud to announce the launch of its 14th Annual GSM>3G Middle East Telco World Summit, being held from 7-8 December 2009, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.  The two day strategic conference and exhibition, supported by strategic operator partner Etisalat, includes 85 leading telecommunications and mobile operators from the region and beyond along with over 100 international ICT vendors. The event is being attended by over 2,500 decision makers from 80 plus countries to learn about the strategies that are shaping the future of telecommunications in the Arab world.

Strong interest for the event is in line with the region’s continued subscription growth which is forecast to increase by 34%, or 193 million subscribers from the current 144 million over the period 2008 to 2012.   Mobile data revenue is expected to rise by 118% over the period 2007 to 2012, with revenue climbing from US$ 3.1 Billion to US$ 6.7 Billion, accounting for 16% of total revenue forecast by operators.
Due to popular demand, the programme also incorporates two brand new elements this year: The Saudi Arabia Focus Day dedicated to the Middle East’s fastest growing market and the two day Telecoms HR Summit set to analyse the changing role of HR managers during the current economic downturn.
