The Middle East giftware market, renowned for its affluent gifts and creative gifting solutions, is set for double-digit growth rates in the coming years – even in these extremely challenging economic times.

The immense potential of the Middle East giftware market, worth $3 billion, will be on show at the Gifts & Premium Dubai – the Middle East’s only international exhibition for gifts, giftware, corporate gifts, seasonal decorations, stationery and handicrafts.

The event, to be organised by Channels Exhibitions between October 27 and 29, 2009 at Dubai World Trade Centre, is expected to bring together world’s leading manufacturers from over 25 countries in Europe, the US, Asia and the Middle East.

Justin Boutros, Chief Executive Officer of Channels Exhibitions, said: “Giving gifts as a token of appreciation is a centuries-old Arabian culture. The value of a gift should never be underestimated, least of all when economic conditions are tough. Gifts & Premium exhibition offers this unique platform to showcase innovative trends and products from the US, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.”

The product categories represented at the show include gifts, corporate gifts, medals, trophies, accessories, crystal ware, ceramics, decorative glass, gadgets, seasonal decorations, stationery, writing instruments, decorative items, collectables and souvenirs.

The three-day show will bring together exhibitors and buyer groups from specialist retailers, supermarkets, home and lifestyle retailers, duty-free and travel retail, hypermarkets, independent retailers, wholesalers grocery chains, home and lifestyle departmental stores, hotels, restaurant chains, airlines, duty free travel, brand management companies and re-exporters under one roof.

He added: “At Gifts & Premium 2009, we aim to bring some top names from around the globe to showcase their gifting solutions. We are thankful for the support of Dubai World Trade Centre in our endeavours.”

Among the companies who will be present at the show are 2 Creative FZCO, Artur Schnabel Gmbh, Cadusa Leather, Damas LLC, Dunes of Arabia, Ferdinando Famà Srl, Gold Line Italia, Ideas For Brands, Jasani LLC, Riccioni LLC, Wiracana, and zChocolat.com.

Gifts & Premium also offers two initiatives to make the show successful for all participants. These include Premium Match -- where pre-registered visitors are sent a personalized list of products and services that match their individual areas of interest along with advance notification of companies prior to the show, allowing valuable meetings to be scheduled well in advance.

Also offered is Premium Concierge – a unique advanced registration service that enables exhibitors the option to register their key clients and buyers to attend the show via a personalised, branded and secure pre-registration website.

Over 5,200 trade visitors from nearly 50 countries visited Gifts & Premium 2008.
