ALBAWABA - A migrant boat carrying 90 people sank, killing at least one woman near the Malaysian-Thai border, Malaysian police said Sunday, confirming that 10 people were saved.
"A boat carrying 90 people is believed to have capsized," 3 days ago, Kedah police chief Adzli Abu Shah announced in a statement to the press.
He mentioned two other boats carrying dozens of migrants went missing, according to AFP.
Rescue workers are under pressure to save more people from the boat sinking accident.
"So far, 11 people, including one body, have been found," Romli Mustafa, Kedah state maritime director, revealed.
