Mindware, a leading IT distributor in the Middle East, has received four awards during Symantec's recently concluded 2010 Middle East and North Africa Partner Summit in Dubai. This includes the 'System Builder Distributor of the Year FY'10 - Gulf Region' award, which was given in recognition of the company's success in addressing the entire region's system builder channel segments and in creating breadth and revenue quarter after quarter. Mindware was also named as the 'PC Tools Distributor of the Year FY'10 MENA Region', in honour of its focus and investments, which significantly contributed to the achievement of Symantec's revenue objective in the MENA region.
In addition, Mindware has also garnered two individual awards this year, with Taiseer Mohammed, Symantec Consumer Product Manager, bagging the 'Outstanding OEM Contributor of the Year FY'10' accolade for the second time; and Anas Rasheed, Symantec Product Manager from Mindware Saudi Arabia winning the 'Outstanding Individual Contributor FY'10 - Distribution' award. Held annually in tribute to the outstanding achievements of Symantec's partner community, the Summit recognises achievements in the overall performance in revenue, investments and certifications over the past year of the company's MENA partners.
"By establishing a stronger vendor and distributor relationship in terms of forecast, deliverables, vendor engagement and marketing activities, we were able to create a predictable and sustainable business for Symantec in the region, which we believe has been the primary factor that won us all these recognitions," said Shadi Tahan, Solutions Department Manager, Mindware. Mindware has witnessed major success in Symantec's recent Partner Summits, having won 'Symantec Distribution Champion Backup Exec Challenge' last year, in addition to top individual prizes for 'Outstanding Individual Contributor FY'09 - OEM' and 'Outstanding Individual Performance in Distribution FY'09'. In 1998, the company snatched the, 'Total Solutions Distributor 2008' award, as well as three major awards including 'Individual Performance FY'08 - SMB Solutions', 'Individual Performance FY'08 - Availability Sales', and 'Individual Performance FY'08 - Total Solutions - KSA Sales'.
