Mohammed Bin Rashid Programme for Leadership Development (MBRPLD), an innovative leadership program designed to develop national leaders capable of promoting the sustainable development of the UAE, has announced that it has recently concluded the new module “Organisational Excellence in Public Sectors”, which has been designed to help accelerate the development of the managerial acumen of the Government Leaders program participants. Government Leaders is a level of MBRPLD that aims to qualify the future leaderships of Dubai Government departments by establishing an assembly of talented individuals with distinguished potentials, knowledge, skills and experience at all departments of Dubai Government.
The new module emphasises on the integration of important leadership skills around the theme of achieving organisational excellence. Government Leaders level participants went through extensive training to hone their skills in scanning their environments, understanding causal relationships, identifying patterns, and using logic, evidence and experience to optimise the operations they direct.
Adel Al Shared, Executive Chairman of MBRPLD said: "The new module focused on strengthening the organisational capabilities of the Government Leaders level participants, who were exposed to practical examples from the private sector and were given a demonstration of the great value and significance of organisational excellence in the public sector. This is a key step towards achieving our ultimate goal of equipping the participants with the necessary tools and knowledge to be able to promote and sustain the development initiatives of Dubai Government."
Eman Mohammed Al Mutawa, Head of Business Excellence CoE, Director of Business Excellence, participant of Government Leaders level said: "The 'Organisational Excellence in Public Sectors' module was a very exciting opportunity for us to enhance our leadership capabilities as I am sure that organisational excellence is a fundamental requirement to achieve success in any leadership field. Moreover, the module's activities have enabled me to develop certain skills that ultimately help improve my competency in various leadership functions such as strategic management."
MBRPLD has been established in line with the vision and directions of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; the initiator of the MBRPLD initiative who has underscored the critical importance of a highly competent national professional workforce to ensure the country's global sustainability.
