Mohammed Bin Rashid Programme for Leadership Development presents new initiative at Arab Women Forum

MBRPLD chief executive conducts special presentation about harnessing leadership potential of women through UAEWLP

Mohammed Bin Rashid Programme for Leadership Development (MBRPLD), an innovative leadership program designed to develop future national leaders capable of promoting the sustainable development of Dubai, has announced that it has introduced the groundbreaking UAE Women Leadership Programme (UAEWLP) to participants of “The first Arab Women Leadership Forum”, that was held recently in Dubai. Adel Al Shared, CEO of MBRPLD, conducted a special presentation about UAEWLP during the Forum wherein he outlined the objectives of the new program and discussed MBRPLD's plans and strategies for the development of women leaders in the UAE.

Managed by MBRPLD and sponsored by Dubai Women Establishment (DWE), UAEWLP is the first-ever comprehensive leadership development program for UAE women nationals. MBRPLD developed UAEWLP's unique training module after more than a year of research work and consultations with experts from Asia, North America and Europe.

H.E. Ahmad Bin Bayat, Secretary General of the Dubai Executive Council said: "It is our collective vision to establish more elite women leaders who can inspire and motivate the greater majority of women to actively participate in the various socioeconomic activities in Dubai and the UAE. MBRPLD has done an excellent job in managing a dedicated women leadership development program and it was an honour for us to share this concept with the rest of the Arab World through MBRPLD's participation at this forum."

Adel Al Shared said: "The establishment of UAEWLP brings us closer to our mission of providing specialised diversified leadership training to all segments of the society. The women of the UAE represent an enormously huge leadership potential; through the UAEWLP, I am confident that we will be able to harness this potential and create a wider pool of quality leaders who can provide concrete contributions for the development of the country and the entire Arab World."

MBRPLD has likewise announced that it hosted a gala dinner for 100 women leaders to commemorate the launching of UAEWLP, during which a presentation was made by Adel Al Shared focusing on the Dubai Strategic Plan, national resource development and  particularly on MBRPLD and its various customised leadership development initiatives such as the UAEWLP.

MBRPLD marks the year 2009 with increased efforts on women development initiatives following the significant success it has achieved in its other projects such as the Promising Leaders, Young Leaders, Government Leaders and DG Majlis levels of MBRPLD. Ultimately, MBRPLD aims to empower the Dubai Government to successfully implement the Dubai Strategic Plan 2015 and promote the long-term sustainability of Dubai and the UAE by harnessing the leadership potential of promising UAE nationals.

The applications for the program were submitted through MBRPLD`s website (www.mbrpld.ae). Further details of the program and the evaluation process are also available on the website.
