The Montgomerie, Dubai wins ‘Best Service’ Award at the Middle East Golfers Award 2009

The Montgomerie Dubai, one of the Middle East’s most popular golfing destinations, has won the Best Service award for the second consecutive year at the Middle East Golfers Award 2009 ceremony held in Dubai, recently. The golf course and clubhouse, owned by Emaar Hospitality Group and managed by Troon Golf, was voted the winner by on-line readers of the Middle East Golfer magazine, members of local golf clubs and a panel of prestigious judges. Mr Ray Metz, General Manager, The Montgomerie, Dubai, was presented with the award by Mr Giuseppe Coniglione, President of Swiss Corp Prime Product Middle East and USA at the gala event which took place at The Montgomerie, Dubai this year. The award recognises The Montgomerie, Dubai’s ground-breaking initiatives in both the hospitality and leisure sector with a special focus on attention to detail and providing the Troon Golf Experience. The gala event was attended by leading industry professionals and personalities from across the Middle East region. Mr Metz said: “The Best Service award for The Montgomerie, Dubai from Middle East Golfer is a strong reiteration of the excellent service standards we uphold. Leisure and hospitality, today, are strongly linked, and this accolade underscores our commitment to offering the Troon Golf Experience which is strongly focused on guest service. This year, receiving the award was an additional privilege as we were also hosting the award ceremony.” The Montgomerie, Dubai features a 7,266-yard championship golf course designed by Colin Montgomerie, in association with Desmond Muirhead. The links style course offers 81 bunkers and 14 lakes, along with generous fairways and deceptive greens that will both challenge and entertain all levels of golfers.  The Montgomerie Dubai was also short listed for the ‘Best Golf Academy’, ‘Best Clubhouse’ and ‘Best Designed Hole’ awards.
