Musanda has organized a workshop with the Cemeteries Development Committee and all related departments to set standards and guidelines for future plans and to review challenges facing the existing infrastructure.

The workshop was attended by members of Musanada and the Cemeteries Development Committee from Department of Municipal Affairs along with representatives from the General Association for Islamic Affairs, Environment Authority, Abu Dhabi police, Health Authority, Urban Planning Council, and Municipalities. The list of recommendations that came out of the workshop will be submitted to the concerned authorities for legislation within the new draft for the cemeteries guidelines booklet.

Musanda is heading this project of establishing a new cemeteries guidelines booklet with the support of Department of Municipal Affairs to assess the current status of the existing cemeteries in the emirate and develop its processes and policies towards a more organized and sustainable system. The new guideline will focus on the negative implications of cemeteries established within residential communities and will define strategies to tackle the planning, architectural, operational, and security aspects of such projects.

Eng. Alia Al Zarouni, Design Manager at Musanada, said: "This project is part of the Abu Dhabi Government's vision for the development of the Cemetery systems in the Emirate, The aim of the workshop that we organized is to strengthen cooperation with the concerned parties in the government of Abu Dhabi in order to serve the interests of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and meet the population's needs."
