NAS & Lufthansa Technik are currently intensively evaluating further cooperation
Lufthansa Technik supports National Air Services (NAS) operations World Wide

It was announced at MEBA Exhibition in Dubai that National Air Services Group (NAS Holding) signed a 5 years total Component support agreement with Lufthansa Technik (LHT) which operates 30 production sites with more than 25,000 employees’ world wide. The agreement covers up to 40 aircraft including services of several Executive and VIP-Jets. NAS Group fleet comprises 29 aircraft for its companies’ nasair, Kayala and NetJets Middle East plus 65 aircraft under NAS Aircraft Management Service Projects. More over, both NAS Group & Lufthansa Technik are currently intensively evaluating further opportunities to cooperate in aircraft maintenance.
 
Mr. Sulaiman Al-Hamdan – NAS Group CEO, stated that through this strategic agreement, LHT, the world class leading company, will provide its technical and strategic support to NAS fleet operations by providing an open access to LHT aircraft’s inventory and shops to support the private and VIP fleet as well as NAS commercial fleet. He added that the response time for any request by NAS will not exceed a few hours; this will enhance our services to our very important and valued customers.

Walter Heerdt, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Lufthansa Technik said during the signing ceremony at the Middle East Business Aviation convention (MEBA) in Dubai “The signing of the contract underlines the confidence that NAS has in our total component support TCS®. We will be very pleased to justify this confidence in our product with outstanding reliability and service.”

 Eng. Mohammed Al-Hamidi – NAS Chief Technical Officer indicated that this agreement coupled with current and future new fleet shall further improve NAS operational performance, and reinforce the technical capabilities. He added that the agreement will allow NAS to use LHT complex network to support its operations by supplying spare parts to VIP/Private aircraft alongside the commercial fleet (Boeing Business Jets, A320 family and Embraer 190/195). At the same time, LHT will provide NAS with up to date modifications and enhancements to the aircraft components whenever recommended by the aircraft manufacture.

National Air Services Group (NAS) was established in 1999 when NetJets-Middle East Program (NJME) was introduced in cooperation with NetJets-USA, the program is Fractional Jet ownership with 16 aircraft currently in operation and 60 aircraft placed orders. Later on in 2001, Aircraft Management Services was established to provide customized management solutions for aircraft owners. It has signed management & operations contracts of over 66 governments, corporate and private aircraft. In 2005 and 2007 respectively, NAS started its commercial operations on more than 20 domestic & international routs through Kayala the 1st luxury airline for scheduled & charter flights, and nasair the 1st low cost carrier in KSA. NAS commercial fleet will reach 13 aircraft by the end of 2008. In addition, orders were made for additional 37 aircrafts to join gradually till 2014.
