The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is ready to assist Algeria in its drive to conduct reforms on its army, an official at the organization was quoted as saying Tuesday by the Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA).

NATO deputy secretary general, Klaus Peter Klaiber’s remarks came at the end of his one-day visit to the Arab African country where he held talks with senior Algerian officials, said the agency.

“Algeria could benefit from NATO’s experiences in military reform process,” said Klaiber.

Asked whether there would be a cooperation between the two sides in the near future, klaiber said “we could exchange expertise through dialogue.” – Albawaba.com
