A report by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) stated that 95 refugees have died off the coast of Libya since Sunday, Reuters reports.
According to the IOM report, bodies were discovered in two different locations: 85 corpses in one area and 10 in another.
The IOM cited the Libyan Red Crescent, although exact figures have not yet been confirmed.
Nearly 558,000 asylum seekers successfully made it across the Mediterranean Sea to Europe this year. But sadly, almost 3,000 died attempting to make the perilous journey.
Last week Italian authorities rescued an estimated 1,151 migrants from boats in the Mediterranean in 11 rescue operations in a single day.
