Neutrogena®, the dermatologist recommended skin care brand, recently held a skincare workshop at the American University of Dubai (AUD) to give students in-depth information on one of the most common of skin problems: Acne.
Attended by over 60 students, the seminar was conducted by Dr. Fatima Habib, Dermatologist Specialist at Cosmesurge Clinic and Diala Sammakieh, Senior Brand Manager, Neutrogena Middle East.
Beginning by explaining acne formation, Dr Habib went on to cover the different types of acne blemishes, and the effect lifestyle and eating habits have on the skin.
A survey conducted during the seminar confirmed the prevalence of acne blemishes, further revealing that over 70% of students suffer from blackheads and 42% from whiteheads. Dr Habib then elaborated on how these unsightly, hard-to reach spots what spots are you talking about here – blackheads or what – elaborate are formed, and guided students in the proper manner of handling them.
Students were taken through a quick guide on Neutrogena’s anti-acne platform by Sammakiah, who elaborated on the special formula of Neutrogena’s new Blackheads Eliminating range. Neutrogena’s beauty advisors were available during the seminar to carry out free facial skin analyses and offer students advice and recommendations on how to take good care of their skin, and encourage them to start a long-term skincare regimen. The AUD students were also presented with a range of Neutrogena product samples from face and body cleansers to moisturizers.
