ALBAWABA- For the second time in a day, the British Maritime Trade Operations Authority (BMOA) reported an explosion and missiles striking approximately 4 nautical miles from a ship site near Hodeidah, Yemen.
This alarming incident adds to growing concerns over maritime safety in the Red Sea region. The nature and extent of the damage, as well as the potential involvement of Houthi forces, are yet to be officially confirmed.
The incidents underscore the escalating risks in the maritime zones, especially in the strategically significant Bab Almandab strait.
Notably, the Houthis in Yemen have imposed restrictions on vessels destined for or passing by Israel, demanding an end to the Gaza siege as a condition for passage.
