What do Melanie Griffith, Cher, Tori Spelling, Pamela Anderson, Elizabeth Taylor and Michael Jackson have in common? Nips and tucks, that’s what.

Melanie Griffiths, married to a ten-years younger man in Antonio Banderas, became so determined to recapture her stunning, youthful appearance that she splashed out $50,000 for a sensational new body and complete makeover, reported Hollywood Gossip online.

She had plastic surgery to shape up her tummy, her hips and thighs. And it was all because she wants to keep looking attractive and youthful for her younger husband.

She told a friend: "I know Antonio loves me and I trust him implicitly, but strange and romantic things happen on movie sets in exotic places. I think I owe it to my husband to look the best I can for him at all times.”

Cher has resorted to nips and tucks several times to retain her incredible youthful appearance at 53.

She's reportedly had implants on her cheeks to give her that exotic sexy look, collagen injected into her lips, an eyebrow lift and a face lift.

When asked why she is obsessed with looking so young Cher told a friend: "I love myself, therefore I must make myself more beautiful.”

Tori Spelling took some heat when she had a boob job a few years ago. Her friends told her she was too thin to have large breasts.

But the 'Beverly Hills 90210' star told her friends: "I love the way they look now. I've had two implant surgeries and they make me feel so-o-o-o sexy. They're my trophies.”

Bigger is not always better. Stars like Pamela Anderson and Loni Anderson eventually decided that smaller was sexier. But it still meant going under the knife to make the change.

Boob jobs of one kind or another are almost as old as Hollywood itself.

Kim Novak, Marlene Dietrich and Mariel Hemingway were on to the "lift" years ago.

One wardrobe woman on one of today's top TV shows estimates that three-quarters of the actresses she works with have implants.

"You go from dressing room to dressing room and watch them struggling into something. Their arms are moving, their shoulders are moving, everything is moving but their breasts.”

One actress, as famous for her breasts as her talent, said: "What's wrong with it ? It's the same as men having hair transplants. It's the same as working out. You want to improve your body”-Albawaba.com.
