ISTANBUL
North Korea launched a suspected ballistic missile early Wednesday local time, Japan said.
A statement from the Japanese prime minister’s office said Pyongyang launched an apparent ballistic missile.
The missile was said to have fallen into waters outside Japan’s exclusive economic zone.
This comes amid escalating tensions between North Korea and the US, Japan and South Korea.
