Oil service firm NOV Elmar UK has announced contract wins of £10million secured within the last quarter.
NOV Elmar is a leading designer and manufacturer of wellhead pressure control equipment with offices and manufacturing sites in Dubai, Singapore, Houston, Minsk and Perth, Australia. The firm’s headquarters and UK division is based in Westhill, near Aberdeen.
The new contracts include the supply of eight 20 tonne TerraLift trucks to a leading oilfield services provider, for operations in Algeria and Libya, in a deal worth approximately £1.5million. Custom-designed for the firm, which has been a client of NOV Elmar for 25 years, the trucks have a built-in 10,000psi pressure test facility and can reach a maximum height of 120ft.
Further work has been secured with Maersk to supply five NovaWinch units which are currently being customised to Maersk’s specifications. The new contract is worth around £750,000 and is in addition to two similar units which were purchased by Maersk in 2007.
Steve Smith, sales manager for NOV Elmar UK, said: “Much of our success can be attributed to the ability of our engineering team to react to the individual needs of clients. This allows us to continually develop new and existing equipment - which is considered by many to be the best in the field.
“Having recently extended our facilities in Aberdeen, we are on track to exceed our projected turnover of £40million for 2008 and are anticipating further growth in 2009.”
