Olympus, a leading global manufacturer of cameras and professional opto-digital products, announced its participation at GITEX Dubai 2009 with the launch of “Dubai: Dawn to Dusk” a unique photography campaign. Olympus, which celebrates the 90th anniversary of its establishment in October this year, has been operational in the UAE for more than two decades through Al Sayegh Brothers Trading, the sole distributors and local agent for Olympus products.
In its continued commitment to the dynamic markets in the UAE and GCC region, Olympus has several development plans in the pipeline, including, launching a range of exciting models of its cameras in the underwater and Digital SLR range during GITEX, according to an announcement from the company.
The “Dubai: Dawn to Dusk” campaign, which aims to capture the various moods and tones of the city on film, has been conceptualized as a tribute to the vibrant emirate and the fast paced growth witnessed by it in recent years. Three talented lens men from among Dubai’s photographer fraternity will be invited to take pictures of the city during different times of the day and under various themes. Selected winning images from this collection will be displayed at an exhibition, later this month.
