Satyam Computer Services Ltd. (NYSE:SAY) has announced that it has entered into an agreement to implement mySAP® ERP Suite at Oman Polypropylene L.L.C. (OPP), a joint venture between Oman Oil Co, Gulf Investment Corporation and LG International.
“This solution will empower us with real-time information and industry-specific functionalities. Real-time information about projects, processes, operational performance, and markets will provide early warning of changes, giving us time to adapt to shifts in demand, customer requirements, and economic conditions,” said Saad Ali Mohammed, Projects Director, Oman Polypropylene. “We will implement the entire suite in phases. In the first phase, we will implement the business fundamentals in the areas of financial accounting, management accounting, operations, logistics, corporate services and human resources. This will be completed in six months.”
This is another prestigious win for the Satyam-SAP partnership in the Middle East region. The local expertise supplied by Bahwan IT, Satyam’s local partner in Oman played a notable role in winning this project. Currently, Satyam is executing more than ten SAP implementations in the Middle East.
Commenting on the partnership, Saad said, “Satyam demonstrated an exceptional track record in implementing SAP-based solutions in the process manufacturing domain. With multiple global and local SAP references and unmatched technical expertise, Satyam was the obvious choice to be our enterprise solution partner. We look forward to a sustained and fruitful relationship with Satyam.”
