Oman Telecommunication Company Plans Upgrade

The Omani Telecommunications Co. (OTC) plans to complete several important upgrading and infrastructure projects by the end of this year, said a report published on Countrywatch.com. 

OTC president Abdullah Rowahi told a news conference on Monday that the firm would increase the number of subscriber channels and develop movement transfer equipment in 18 telephone exchanges in the Muscat Governorate in the first phase, and would then connect this equipment to the Internet at a total cost of RO.1.6 million ($4.16 million), according to Countrywatch.com – Albawaba.com
