When THE One’s Project and UAE LDC Manager Rob Merry discovered that the Senses Special Needs Centre around the corner from THE One’s Dubai Head Office was about to relocate, he jumped at the opportunity for THE Office to make a meaningful difference in its local community as part of the company’s Socially Responsible Investment programme.

Rallying staff to help make life a little easier for the private, non-profit organization that provides care and support for 50+ children, THE One’s CEO (Creative Emotional Originator) Thomas Lundgren generously donated three truckloads of home fashion to spruce up the centre’s new location. Inspired by a chance to do good, 21 tribe members from THE Office volunteered their time and energy to help with the delivering, off-loading and unpacking of furniture and accessories on Wednesday evening, April 28.

“THE One is happy to have had a hand in helping Senses and its wonderful children, who are dependant on the services and care the centre provides. We hope this encourages more companies to become Social Enterprises because together we can change the world one good deed at a time,” said Rob Merry.

Senses’ highly qualified team, which includes doctors and paediatric specialists, offers residential and day care to special needs children who come from low or no income families. In addition, it supplies physiotherapy, rehabilitation, occupational and speech therapy services as well as various educational and entertainment activities.

While Senses relies heavily on donations and financial contributions from the public to survive, any profit is directly reinvested into the organisation to help open more centres. If you would like to support this cause contact Senses on 04 3948765.
