Orange Jordan, the sole integrated telecom operator in the Kingdom, recently held a media roundtable announcing the launch of the company’s new electronic payment systems, through which subscribers will be able to pay their bills and top-up their prepaid accounts in a fully automated manner.
The event brought together representatives from various media in the Kingdom and was headed by Orange Mobile’s CEO Majd Shweikeh. Attending the gathering also was Mr. Boulad Boulad and Merza Boulad from Global Express Pay; the provider of the ATM machines.
Mrs. Shweikeh explained that this initiative comes as part of Orange Jordan’s efforts to introduce new and innovative services that carry added value to its customers. “This step comes to reaffirm our unwavering commitment to facilitating and adding more flexibility to our customers’ lives as this was our prime objective since the very beginning,” she said. “We are proud to see our vision materializing in the form of innovative and useful service for the first time in Jordan.”
The new electronic payment devices will save Orange’s subscribers both time and effort as, instead of spending ample amounts of time waiting in queues to make payments, both prepaid and postpaid subscribers can pay their fixed, mobile and broadband bills using an intuitive, efficient, and fully automated payment interface. The automated system also serves subscribers who are usually predisposed during official working hours by allowing them to pay their bills any time.  Prepaid subscribers are able to top-up their balance with vouchers between JD1 and JD32.
Shweikeh also confirmed that the systems, which currently number 15 in total, are strategically placed in all high traffic Orange centers so as to cater to the largest possible number of customers in the most accessible areas. She concluded the meeting by emphasizing Orange’s role as a pioneering provider of telecom services in the Kingdom, reiterating the company’s plans to maintain its position as the Kingdom’s national operator.
