OTC Market Ends Week on a Mixed Note

The OTC market ended the week on a mixed note Saturday with Emnex declining 3.12 points to 1577.58 and the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) index closing without changing at 2,587.9, Khaleej Times reported Sunday. 

The paper said that the Emirates Financial Services (EFS) listed activity in four stocks during the day with Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank advancing 15 fils to Dh17.19 on a volume of 10,574 shares and Etisalat declining Dh6.51 to Dh975 on a volume of 267 shares.  

Oman Insurance also suffered losses of Dh8.40 and closed at Dh900.80, said the daily, while Abu Dhabi National Foodstuff, which registered a volume of 14,000 shares finished without changing at Dh20.  

The report added that Emnex's services sub-index dropped 7.25 points to 1580.65 and the insurance sub-index fell 1.12 points to 1056.3, while the banks sub-index gained 0.58 points to close at 1664.48.  

Blue Chip declined 2.57 points to 872.91, while New Cos advanced 1.06 points to 953.14. The Islamic sub-index was also up 3.33 points to 785.11, while Property closed without changing 780.17 and Large Cap finished at 725.03, down 1.61 points.  

EFS reported the total volume Saturday at 24,841 shares, which were valued at Dh721,986. 

The NBAD market review reported listed no movers during the day. But it said that the NBAD market index slipped 15.12 points or 0.58 percent during the week because of losses in the services and the banking sector indices. 

According to the paper, the indices respective declined 28.56 points or 0.88 percent and 8.72 points or 0.35 percent in this period, while the insurance sector index saw no change during the week – Albawaba.com
